Legal
Terms of Use
These terms describe how PDF2X is intended to be used and what limitations apply to the software.
Use of the Application
PDF2X is provided as a browser-based utility for preparing PDF files for AI workflows by converting them into Markdown or plain text. You may use the application only in compliance with applicable law and only for documents that you have the right to process.
No Legal or Compliance Guarantee
PDF2X is a productivity tool, not a legal, records-management, AI safety, or compliance solution. Output quality can vary depending on the PDF, scan quality, language, encoding, and OCR conditions.
No Guarantee of Token Savings or Model Performance
PDF2X is designed to help produce cleaner text inputs for AI systems, which may reduce prompt waste or improve downstream handling in some workflows. However, no specific reduction in token usage, model cost, latency, ranking, retrieval quality, or generation quality is guaranteed.
Accuracy and OCR Limitations
OCR output may contain recognition errors, omissions, formatting changes, or structural differences from the source document. Users are responsible for reviewing converted content before relying on it in publication, automation, or downstream processing.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use the application to process content in violation of privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property rights.
- Do not attempt to misuse the site or interfere with its normal operation.
- Do not represent the output as guaranteed exact or error-free.
Availability
The application may be updated, modified, suspended, or removed at any time. Some functionality depends on browser features such as modules, workers, canvas rendering, and WebAssembly.
In practice, PDF2X is intended for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Older browsers, including Internet Explorer and other legacy engines, may not support the conversion workflow or OCR features reliably.
Third-Party Components
PDF2X may include locally hosted third-party open-source components for PDF parsing and OCR. Those components remain subject to their own licenses, notices, and limitations.
Advertising and Analytics
Production deployments may include advertising, analytics, consent-management tools, and other third-party services. Those services may operate under separate terms, policies, and technical requirements, and they should only be used in a lawful and properly disclosed way.
If operators choose to monetize EEA, UK, or Swiss traffic with Google advertising products, they are responsible for using any required certified CMP and for maintaining lawful regional disclosures and consent behavior.
Disclaimer
Unless separate written terms say otherwise, PDF2X is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of PDF2X are not liable for losses arising from use of the application, including conversion errors, OCR inaccuracies, output formatting issues, or interrupted availability.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised over time. Continued use of the application after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
